- Blend in Cuisinart—add salt and pepper to taste—add homemade mayo* if not wet enough.

Joan Nathan’s Jewish Cooking in America recipe:
- Sauté onions in oil for 20 minutes or until golden.
- Combine with all other ingredients in food processor until well processed and smooth. Season with salt and pepper.
- Serve with bread, crackers, veggies or matzah! Chill before serving if desired.

How we’ve adapted:
“I combine recipes to taste. I never use canned peas. Only fresh or frozen depending on season. I use walnuts, but not crackers. I use both peas and green beans if I have both or just peas. It’s really a taste thing. The onions and egg are what make it taste like “chopped liver”. Marc loves it!” -HBH client
