The Eating Hygiene Series
11 blogs to lose weight and improve digestion without dieting. 1/11
What you eat matters. But how you eat matters, too. When we’re rushed, we tend to shove food in our mouths, eating in the car or at our desk as we multitask like crazy. We reach for “easy” foods, which most often end up being simple carbs lacking nutritional depth. And we forget to chew.
One of the most important things we can do for our digestion is apply deeper attention to our eating. There’s a phrase for this: eating hygiene. Health begins in the gut, so when we take the time to slow down, eat mindfully, and unitask, we benefit from better digestion, higher absorption of nutrients, and more enjoyment of our food.
That sounds nice, right?
Well it’s not just nice. It can help you lose weight and achieve your long-term digestion goals in very tangible, measurable ways.
In this email series, we’ll introduce some tips and benefits for adopting eating-hygiene practices into your own daily routine.
Stay tuned!
“If you are tired of all that yo-yo dieting, struggling with food, and feeling like a failure (like I was), then I strongly recommend Shanti and Happy Belly Health. This is an entirely different kind of experience – and a very good one! At least it was for me.” — Kathy S.
EATING HYGIENE TIP #1
The first step to eating hygiene is simply noticing where it’s lacking in your life now. Start to note how, where, and when you eat. If you’re inspired, start an eating-habit tracker. You may already keep track of what you’re eating. Now, start to track how you eat.
